In which shopping almost kills me

Today my mother in law volunteered to watch the kids so I could go run some errands and meet Neil for a valentines day lunch. After scoring some seriously cute stuff for John. (Yes- I bought my baby a cute little cap and suede fur lined boots.... and a sweater and another pair of shoes- we all know newborns really need shoes) Then amidst my spree at Janie and Jack something weird happened. All of the sudden I couldn't see out of my left eye. I thought, "This is strange" but I wasn't about to be stopped from my shopping by a little thing like blindness so I set out to barnes and noble. But then while I was driving to DSW my left hand went numb for like 15 minutes then my gums started feeling like pins and needles and my tongue went numb too. Weird, no? At this point I figured I might be having a stroke or something crazy so I pulled over and parked. After a while the symptoms went away but has anyone else had something like that happen? One of my friends said similar things have happened to her before she gets really bad migraines but I don't think I have a migraine. Anyway I am having some people over for lunch on Friday and I am planning to make the downstairs look like V-Day exploded all over it. Pictures to come. Now if I could just settle on a menu.
PS: I have now lost 27 lbs since having the baby :) Too bad I went crazy at red lobster and probably put 3 lbs back on :(

Next I fell asleep and forgot to post yesterday but Baby G counted down the days to Valentines day by ingesting a giant marshmallow sucker. Actually she took one bite and realized it was gross and tried to feed it to the little man, luckily I caught her at it. Today Baby G made some art work that we are going to turn into V-Day cards- don't worry they will be totally awesome and I will post pics of the finished product.
Anyway I went to the doctor and now I am allowed to vacuum, mop, and run up and down the stairs to my heart's content. I celebrated by cleaning for five hours today and it took Grace about ten minutes to destroy my hard work. Well, she just got rice all over the table and floor and then while I was feeding John she decided to take all the canned goods out of the pantry and stack them on the floor. But the living room, front room, 1/2 bath, and master bath are all still in pristine order..... for now.

Day 2

I found a tutorial on oneprettything.com to make these little rosebud clips and one went in the Valentines Day mail box for baby G today. She wouldn't stop wiggling so the picture is a little blurry.

Count Down to V-Day, Day one

Ok so maybe I failed at my countdown to Christmas but I was super pregnant and there were 24days to cover so now I am going to make a comeback with Valentines Day. So I would like to introduce this little bad boy I whipped together.

It is a Valentine Mail box, I was inspired by a similar one I saw on onepretty thing, that conveniently attaches to a kitchen chair. I think Grace will love it!
