My Little Helper

Does anyone else spend all of Monday morning cleaning up from the weekend? Well, today as I was washing dishes and loading the dish washer Grace decided to help. When I went to shut the dishwasher door I noticed this... In addition to putting peanut butter in the dishwasher Baby G is obsessed with sweeping. However, her favorite place to sweep is on the carpet in the living room.
Moving on... This past weekend was so much fun. On Friday night Neil and I went on a double date with our friends the Ps. A fancy smancy restaurant in the area was having a charity event. For $25 a person you could have an excellent 3 course meal (usually you would have trouble just finding an entree for that). So we went and had fried asparagus and crab meat for our appetizer. Neil had beef tenderloin and pasta for his entree and I had the famous pork chop with apple sauce. Little did I realize that a pork chop at Perry's is code for 1/2 a pig! One serving came with 4 ribs, a large roast and some other savory bits. SO by the time dessert came I was a little full and I still had a 1/4 of a pig left. But the dessert blew my mind! It was a sampler with a caramel cheesecake, a mini creme brulee, and a chocolate orange truffle. Lets just say I LOVED the chocolate orange truffles!!!! After our meal we took a stroll down the river walk and for the first time this summer I felt a lovely breeze.
Today before Neil left for work I was telling him what a fun weekend we had had. He laughed and said, don't you remember Saturday? Oh yeah. I threw my back out and spent the entire day in bed with a heating pad. But other then that we had a great time.

That just proves that good times can help us forget the bad. And that list of food sounds a lot like what your parents have been eating on a daily basis for the past few weeks!! Oh, and I LOVE orange chocolate. It is one of my favorite things.

I am so glad you had a good time.
