Bye Bye Bottle

As some of you know I have had a dickens of a time getting Grace off her bottle and right now I am listening to her anguished screams as she attempts her first nap without that beloved friend. She has been screaming for 44 minutes. In other news yesterday was my 27th birthday and I can't stop eating birthday cake. Neil got me this giant coconut layer cake that is completely rocking my world. We also drove home from St. Louis yesterday so when we finally got to the house Neil and Grace took off to get "groceries." Grace and Neil picked me out flowers and a necklace and earrings but Grace got a little confused. When I tried to put the necklace on she yelled "MINE!" and lunged for my neck. She grabbed the necklace and yanked on it and then said in a totally perplexed voice, "Stuck?" and then growled, "MINE" again. So today it is safely hidden in my dresser drawer. More on our mini vacation later- I'm going to go hide in my room away from Grace's cries and perhaps grab some cake.

Perhaps one day you can be like those mothers and daughters who can share clothes and jewelry. Wouldn't that be fun? Just not right now when she could bust it! But I understand how the "Mine" thing goes. It lasts a while...

Sorry, but that's pretty funny. Carly's obsessed with our cell phones right now, which I'm not too fond of. Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday!! And enjoy the cake. It will be gone soon anyway--and the more you eat the faster it will be gone.:-) (mixed up thinking, I know) Sorry about the bottle screaming. HOpefully she will get over it soon.
