I heart Taco Bell and other things of the utmost importance

I use to be able to smugly say, "I haven't thrown up for a decade." All this ended yesterday. I woke up feeling rather out of sorts. I'm not sure if it was the smoothie or the vegetable soup from the day before but something was having a painful party in my tummy. Suffice it to say I had a rather miserable day until dinner time. Then a miraculous thing happened. Neil asked me what I wanted for dinner. My head told me I wanted a soft taco from taco bell but I wasn't sure my body was in agreement. I decided to go for it. Three tacos later and I was healed by the astounding culinary skill of a teenage fast food worker. Nauseous no more!

Lately I have started to worry about naming our little girl. I couldn't sleep last night because the naming responsibility was stressing me out. Before we were even pregnant Neil and I decided we liked the name Kansas Larson for a little girl. But now that there is an actual child I'm not sure if that is too weird. Like naming a child Apple for example. We also like Lily Larson and have talked about Julia. I was reading the baby name book this morning and Kira sounded cute and then I thought of Kira Knightly and I am not her biggest fan. I can't even think about middle names yet without breaking a sweat! Any ideas?

Guess what! I am 19 weeks pregnant- Next week I'll be half way done, hurray!!!

Kansas is a cute name it's different but you dont want the same old thing. I have a friend that named her daughter Cheerful. Everyone thought it was the stupidist thing but seven years later it fits and I couldnt imagine her with another name. Are you guys from Kansas or is there a story behind that name?

Kansas is weird

dont do a middle name, that solves it! Girls dont need middle names, it just makes for a long name when they get married.
I think you should name the girl kansas dorothy oz! that would be HOT...haha

I went to Jana Blickenstaff's baby shower today. She, too, is having a girl. They can't decide on names either. They are thinking of "May Bee Fuller." And a couple other rather uniquely different ones. At the shower she had everyone write down their favorite names in hopes of giving her something she might consider. When it is all said and done it is up to the parents. Some comments at the shower: Don't give it a boy's name...from a person that had one - it is a pain your whole life long. Another, think about them in twenty-five years, is "cute" what they'll want? How will it look on company letterhead? If she's out going and crazy she can handle any name but if she's shy and more conservative an unusual name might be difficult for her.

Good Luck! But don't stress. We didn't name Neil until he was three days old. And I love it!

Here is my naming advice:

1) If you are thinking of an unusual name, just don't tell anyone. They won't say it is weird after the baby is born, but they will before the baby is born.

2) Go with what you like, even if it is popular (or unpopular).

3) I'm all for middle names for women. Your little lady can choose to keep all of her names when she gets married, or just keep one (I ditched Agnes--can you blame me?).

4) Who cares if your cousin took your favorite name. Darn that Heather! Go for Eden if you want it.

Here are some of my favorites: Ella, Ellie, Elle, Chloe, Lily, Anna, Ava, Claire, Lauren, Madeline, Kara, and Zoe.
