Christmas is around the corner!
"Its lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you" It seems like years since I've gotten really excited for Christmas but this year I cannot mask my enthusiasm. I'm so excited! Perhaps because this is my first married Christmas. Neil and I got hitched on December 28th last year so all my excited energy went into the wedding, not Christmas. So since last month I've been gathering presents, making stockings, and preparing decorations and this Saturday Neil and I are going to go get our Christmas tree! Its fun because this year we can start our own family traditions. For example I want Saturday to be a day of Christmas. After we trim the tree we can have donuts and hot chocolate and watch a Christmas movie all curled up on the couch. This afternoon I'm going to start gift wrapping the gifts so they will be ready to go under the tree. Merry Christmas!

enjoy your movie on the couch this year, that tradition will be put on hold for a few years 'til baby is older!! :)
A season of Firsts! I, too, am excited. Last year we skipped Christmas. Really, I didn't even put the tree up. Steven has been working on the outside lights, I've been doing the inside. I hope to have it all done before you come on Sunday. I like your movie idea. I think Saturday we'll have hot chocolate with a candy cane, a fire, and watch that movie "You'll shoot your eye out" I think it's called "The Christmas Story." Holly was the mother in her middle school play, so it has some sentimental value. Have fun! This year its the two of you - next year the focus will have shifted, in a good way!
