Veggie World

So I have been going to the gym for about 7 months now post that whole baby birthing thing. While the benefits of exercise are great it is also a great break everyday. Two hours to just focus on me. Plus a bunch of my friends go to the same gym. I always see at least 3 people I know and I have taken to attending some of the classes with my buds. And let me tell you these fellow mommies are STRONG- They can run forever and then lift a million pounds over their heads... while lunging... repeatedly! So I have decided to focus more on becoming strong, powerful, and healthy. SO in the spirit of this resolution I am going vegetarian. Just for one week. Note: I said vegetarian NOT vegan, I'll still use eggs (sparingly), milk and cheese but good bye meaty meat! Wish me luck and let me know about any yummy meatless recipes you may have! Plus do you think it is cheating to eat fish? I haven't decided yet on that one.

You have got to be kidding!!! You need protien to make you strong. No vegetarian has muscles!!!
Oh, and so jelous you have 2 hrs a day to excersize. I will never get that again (unless I woke up at 4am!)

I say it's cheating for this week (fish) but not if you go vegetarian forever.

I have a good baked ziti recipe that is meatless, and stuffed shells (but lots of cheese):

Mikael-I think I will try protein shakes, but its not like I want big man muscles :) Try the YMCA- they have an included two hour/day child watch in the family passes. Each kid is only a $5 add on. And you can see your kids from the workout room. Plus I love alot of the classes
Emily- That ziti sounds good :)

Okay, so your old aunt (although I am not as old as your dad, so I am not that old really:-) has to say something. Muscles are made of protein so you need protein to build muscles. If you aren't eating meat, be sure you eat nuts, dairy etc., and I definitely would allow fish . . .and chicken. :-)

Don't worry, I've been looking up good sources of protein and I think I'm going to include fish too :) (Plus I'm a bit of a dairy junkie)
