So....

I had gotten into the really bad habit of letting John go to bed with a bottle. Yes, yes I know that is horrible blah blah blah. In order to undo the damage we have gone cold turkey. No nap or bedtime bottle (I feed him before I put him down of course). His little two bottom teeth have cut through and I'm pretty sure more are on the way from the force with which he has been chomping on everything. I tried to give him some relief by offering him a Binky to bite on but he just threw it in disdain. (Yes, my six month old registers disdain. He also made a face at me today while I was lovingly talking baby talk to him that screamed, "Mom you are a nerd of the highest degree." I was completely taken aback)
Grace has picked up some charming new habits lately. She likes to tell me, "Go away Momma." Apparently I am not allowed to sing along to the Little Einstein's theme song or watch it with her. Also she likes to tell me, "I push you Momma" and then she pushes on my behind, trying to make me go where she wants- bossy. Another of her favorites is, "I gonna get you Momma" and then she chases me while shouting "I gonna kiss you- RUN!" She will also sporadically yell, "I love you Momma" but her love is missing the "l". Baby John also receives that tribute, "ove you baby John." She also enjoys informing me that, "Baby John likes-a hold my hand." And currently she is obsessed with cleaning, probably because I have been trying to teach her to help me with chores. She loves to hold the dustpan while I sweep and then dump it into the trash can. The first time she missed the trash can and was truly dismayed and since then she has been meticulous about making sure every little crumb makes it into the garbage. Her little dimpled baby arms shake while she makes sure the dust pan is completely over the garbage. Oh, and I got her those little kid scriptures the church makes and she is completely convinced that Moroni is a "bad guy." hmmmmmm.

It sounds to me like you are a wonderful mother. How great Grace is so happy to help. Although you might want to correct her opinion of Moroni at some point. :-)
