Today I went running for the first time in 11 months (I finally got the go ahead from the physical therapist :) Lets just say I am super out of shape, but at least it is a start :)
Last Sunday Neil, Princess Wiggle Worm and I were headed out the door to church, Neil looked down and saw that his shoe was untied. Neil said, "Ut Oh!" Princess WW responded, "Ut Oh!" I amazed said "Whoa" and then Princess WW parroted me saying, "Whoa." Before this display she has only said "hi" and when I say "I love you" she can repeat my inntonation but she really only gets the "you" clear and it sounds more like "ewww." So since then I have been working with her on syllables. Lets just say she rocks "gr" and "ah" but isn't the best at "ma." I'll keep you updated on the progress of my amazing two month old talker.
In other news my parents are coming this weekend for Grace's blessing, we are excited to see them.
I almost forgot. Yesterday morning Princess Wiggle Worm laughed! I tickled her tummy and she giggled in delight.

(Driving home from Church yesterday)
Meredith- "I have to give a talk next Sunday."
Neil- "Do you need a new outfit? You should get one."

News
This morning I journeyed to the doctor. The accident I was in 4, almost 5 months ago caused soft tissue damage in my back so I shall be in physical therapy for the next 6 weeks. I had a whole bunch of x-rays taken to make sure my back alignment is still ok, the nurse said she would call if it turns out I am Quasimodo. On the bright side I did get to read some juicy gossip mags in the waiting room, they were from 2006. On the down side I am now back on pain pills for my back, just call me Dr. House :(
I tried on clothes for the first time since having the baby this week. I had to bite the bullet and get some transition clothes until I drop all the baby bulk. The first two hours were torturous, I felt like everything made me look like Rosanne Barr's body double. So after a horrid run in with some swim dresses (I still don't know what possessed me to try the hideous things on) I bought a fat smoosher. FYI a fat smoosher is not the technical name for the ingenious device that perfectly smooths out a roll of stretched out flesh, technically it is called a flexie. Well after my flexie purchase shopping was much more fun. I found two cute dresses at Ann Taylor Loft which will work for church and a baby shower I have to go to.
Princess Wiggle Worm is thriving. Last night Neil and I made smores and she was entranced by the flames in the fire place.
All in all except for a self tanning disaster all is well.

Annoyed
I can't sleep and I am annoyed. Four and a half months ago I was in a car accident. I was in a car that was stopped at a red light and a semi truck plowed into the back of the car. I was pregnant at the time and had to spend a long time at the hospital being monitored and then an even longer time recovering from whip lash at home in bed. My husband missed work, I was in pain, things were not pretty. Well, the last week, or maybe a little longer my back has been killing me and I can't chalk it up to pregnancy pain anymore. Hence the typing instead of sleeping at 5:12 AM. My friend who was driving the car suffered soft tissue damage and went through a bout of physical therapy. I was whining about my back and she asked where it hurt and she thinks I have soft tissue damage. This is annoying. I just want to feel well, now I have to go to the doctor. On top of this the insurance adjuster has been giving us the run around. I feel like he is taking advantage of the fact that we are nice people. This accident was completely the truckers fault and I am starting to get mad about the entire thing. I'm going to go to the doctor, find out about this soft tissue stuff and then send this insurance guy a serious email. I feel like the situation is not that complicated. His client smashed into a stopped car, now give me some compensation. Medical bills don't pay for themselves my friend. See that was easy. Now I'm going to go try and get some sleep.

Surrender Foul Rash, Thy Destruction is at Hand
For the past 48 hours I have been waging war. War against the most formidable of foes, the enemy of babies' hindquarters world wide. The name of my nemesis, diaper rash. The problem became apparent when Princess Wiggle Worm's lovely disposition began to sour and fussiness ensued. Being a modern mother I immediately turned to the great sage of my generation, the interweb. We have abandoned baby wipes for warm wet clothes and Princess Wiggle Worm gets her bum blown dry with my hair dryer at each diaper change. Then a lavish amount of diaper cream is smeared on and then we are good to go. It seems to be working, what was once a totally red bottom has transformed into just two red spots. I'm hoping by tomorrow it will be all healed. I've also been letting her air dry on her changing mat, lets just say I've been doing a lot of laundry! Poor baby (her, not me.) Waging war is all consuming, I realized that I was starving and hadn't eaten since the day before, ooppps!
