The Plunge
I have been hearing about mineral make up for quite some time now, so yesterday I took the plunge and decided to get me some. Really I had a horrible morning and afternoon and wanted to splurge on something fun. When I saw an Ulta at the side of the road I knew it was fate. My splurge didn't end up to be such a splurge since Ulta was selling sample boxes of bareMinerals, $15.00 for two trial size foundations, an applicator brush, and the finishing powder. I tried it this morning, and I must say it, provides much more coverage than I thought it would! I was also concerned because a friend of mine was smack talking mineral makeup because it looks too sparkly, so I put a touch of real powder right on the tip of my nose just in case. All in all I was quite pleased with the make up, I felt I had more of a glow then a glitter. It also seemed to blend with my skin tone better then the liquid foundation I have been using since high school. I still have a bit left so I figure I will try it a couple more days and see how it goes. Does anyone have any info or advice on the bare mineral craze? I'm all ears.

I'm glad you guys are back in Houston and safe and sound! Don't you love Texas?
So, about Bare Minerals. I love it. I mean I REALLY love it. I can't imagine wearing anything else ever again. I never feel like I have a lot of makeup on and I never feel like I have anything close to a makeup line. That being said, I don't love al of their products. I like the foundation, powder, and concealer but I don't love the blush, eyeshadow, etc.
We are so excited to see you all in December!

Haha... I'm glad you are joing the world of those of us who use this wonderful makeup. Michelle (little sister) uses Bare Minerals and absolutely loves it - just make sure you have a quality brush. I use a similar product by Urban Decay (you can get it at Sephora or Ulta) and it works the exact same... I like it more because I have the option of just dabbing it on for a quick cover-up or using a brush to get a nice foundation. I've used both products and they are wonderful! Enjoy :)
i have been wanting to try bare minerals for ever- my mom and sister use them and LOVE it. but i have no advice concerning them :) Just that I want to buy them too. haha
